Yeah...Omaha steaks is not really deal friendly. I would have gotten in too if the All American hadn't shot up to $197. Oh well

I figured out where I goofed...I used the search box to type in the 4560rxc and if you do that it gives you $179.99, but if you type it in in that box they give you in the middle of the page after putting in the mailing code, then it's $59.99 =)

I just ordered...came out to like $77.xx shipped...should be that price for everybody actually since they charge shipped based on how much $$ of stuff you ordered lol.

Damn...I can't believe I just spent $77.xx on meat...garrgh now I'm gonna be poor again lol.

I'm gonna try and have a get together of foody goodness with my friends with this order...alternately I suppose it could be dinner for quite a few days =) But a get-together would be neat since we could all split the cost and I would feel less like I had just spent $77 on meat. Yes. =)

Anybody know if the stuffed Sole is any good?

I've ordered from these folks before and you get exactly what stated. The meat is okay and packaged very well, good quality stuff. But even with the discounts its expensive assuming you don't need seasonings or more steak knives. If you have access to a Sam's Club you may want to compare the price per pound of the meats. You may find with a little effort you can do much better.

This is a good deal from the stand point of convenience and quality but not price.

This would make a great gift too.. ship it directly to their house with a personalized greeting. Better than crap you will never use.

Can do a lot better $/lb. by watching grocery stores for their specials and then stocking up. LIke a NucEm said, Sams has good meat prices. For example Pork Loin is $1.99/lb at the Sams in Augusta, GA Walmart Supercenter has good deals on fish a lot too. I got some flounder last week for $1.99 a lb and it didn't even give me the runs!

bought some of their hot dogs for a get together this past summer and everyone who tried the dogs (including me) raved about how good they were.

This looks good to me. I probably could do better shopping around per lb., but I won't buy meat from Sam's - everything is injected with a 10% solution of who-knows-what. Are these steaks 100% w/o any additives?

Also, has anyone got the cutlery? If it's even half way decent, then it's a great deal.

Do you think I can use gift certificates on top of these coupons and deals?

I can get a $40 GC for $20 with my discovercard cashback thingy.

I think there is a local B&M Great Omaha Steaks (actually a counter setup in one of those Grill stores). \

Wonder if you could do local pickup to avoid delivery charge ?

$$$-)

You can use the Discover 2x cash back coupons.. great idea. I used all of mine to buy a refurb Sharper Image Ionic Breeze. Helps alot with my allergies.

Mmmm! assemblage, you're making me hungry with that flounder talk!
I have tried a previous special from Omaha and was pretty impressed by the corn-fed beef. Even shipped frozen, it tasted better thawed and grilled than any fresh beef I have ever cooked. Still, the price is astronomical, even on special. Would only be justifiable if you were cooking steaks for the boss and his wife...😉

The free knives are nothing fancy, but I'm still using some I got a year ago.

As long as they're decent, I think it's an excellent deal.

I know the meat isn't cheap, but if it's pure beef w/no additives it's worth it.

What do you think they inject in that Sam's beef? 10% solution of ???😕

You can leave it in your freezer for months. Still, even though it's frozen, meat does not keep "forever." If you still have some left at this time next year, I suggest throwing it out. 🙂

i think it depends on the store. my girlfriend is on the mailing list and would get all types of offers through the website. but instead of ordering online, she would just print the email and take it to the store. one of the stores around here would give us the deal (with the free cutlery) whereas another said the offer was only online.

btw, the free cutlery isn't anything special. we have about half a dozen laying around the apartment....makes great gifts though...hehe
