Since the fed upped the rates again, this will put another squeeze on us all.

Bigger Butt plugs with GOP Logo??? Enjoy 😀

You two are asinine. The fed rate is not a a partisan thing, but if you want to go there, here's a fact. The current rate is still lower than it was from August of '94 until the end of Clinton's presidency.

Historical Changes of the Federal Funds and Discount Rates 1971-Present

This just shows how worthless the extremes are, left or right. The farther out you go the tighter your respective blinders get.

My comment had nothing to do with politics...just fact.

higher rates = more you will pay for the money you borrow.

It blows my mind that people on the extreme left can call those on the right sheep for conforming to a religion and whatever else (hey i don't believe in jeebus either), and then they turn around and whine because they claim the are being led like stupid sheep into debt and obesity and everything else by the evil corporations, and need someone else to come in and protect their feeble minds.

Get an internal locus of control. They work wonders.

I just love this quote so much I'm going to repeat it.

too true, thankfully my parents put the fear of god into me when I was a kid towards Credit Cards. I didn't end up getting one until I was 27. Now I use it for the majority of my purchases and then pay it off every month. The unfortunate thing that happened because of this is I get about 3 credit card offers a day. REALLY ANNOYING, especially since I had to get my first card through my bank. I also only have 5K in student loans which I only pay the minimum on. It's nice that the interest is all tax deductible.

One thing I think is really shady is now CC companies will give someone a limit of almost 50-75% of their actual income. Personally I think that's pretty damn stupid of the CC companies. But of course with the chapter 7 reform they don't have to suffer for their poor investments. They are just loan sharks now.

They do suffer. It costs money to collect debts.

That's what collection agencies are for. They do take a little hit but by the time it comes to this the person has usually paid off most of the principle.

And? You have to collect the interest along with the principal. Collection agencies aren't cheap.
