Good call, I would do the same. I can't stand being on the road if I am not moving at a steady pace.

Not to mention that my car is a manual, which makes bumper to bumper for 45 minutes even worse.

Is it raining in Baltimore? It's been raining in California, MD for the past two days without any sight of sunshine.

And if it is, is it that cold November rain?

What bar?
Umm, I dunno? Isn't there a Greene Turtle in Columbia?

What areas are convenient for you? I'd prefer something closer to Columbia or accessible via Rt. 29 between Columbia and Silver Spring.

From where did you start your commute to school? (ie. area)

My drive from York to Baltimore took over 2 hours this morning--it was horrible. It's about 52 miles--all interstate but traffic was not moving.

The commute home this afternoon wasn't too bad. I had to run out to one of our offices in the Woodlawn area, so I left from that side of town around 4:10-4:15. I was home in about an hour. That was by getting on 695 at Liberty Rd, then hitting 83-North to York.

Yea, there is. I actually havent been there yet. If I leave now, I'll probably get there close to 7pm though with traffic and all on 95.

I live in Columbia, so anywhere around there is cool. Theres a Rocky Run that I always go to.

That's what I would do.

I've been presented with similar situations, so I've just hung out.. either at friends' or fast food joints.. lol

That's very true. I know I'm not the only one who takes the longer route home to be able to move my car even to get home likely at the sametime I would taking the normal route sitting in traffic.

I live in Columbia. I left the house at 4:45pm and got here at school at 5:30pm. At this time, traffic would probably be worse.

Well hey, I'm hungry too. How bout Red Robin burgers off of Snowden River Pkwy?
edit: they have a decent bar.

I'm still at work on a conference call with Cali...so I'll be here another 30 minutes or so...takes me 5-10 minutes to get anywhere in Columbia.

Damn, I could really go for a drink but I have to meet with my buddy at 9pm to study for an exam tomorrow morning. I better not tonight.

Do you work in Columbia? Because we should definetly get together for a beer sometime, considering I live right off of 175.

No prob, we can do this another time then. I work pretty close to where 29 and 32 meet--about 5 minutes south of the mall.

Maybe I should set up a mini ATOT meet for the Baltimore/Washington area for next week. I'll take some of you guys out for some hookah in Baltimore.
