comforters are larger than coats. Dry cleaning is done by weight and size, usually, and gender. Hence women's clothes are more expensive to dry clean cuz the demand is higher in women than men.
pricing wimmins clothing based solely on gender is actually illegal.
however, specific garments that are normally worn by women (blouses, some dresses [ex: something with pleats] etc) that require more time and attention during the finishing process to give the garment the desired look, will be given a higher-than-average price because of it.
if you take in two almost identically-cut garments made of the same material and similar in color with no or almost identical special staining, one for a man, one for a woman (lets say 2 vests made of red polyester) the price should be the same. if the womans costs more its gender discrimination and against the law.
note i said the garments have to be of similar materials and cuts, and colors etc. its not unusual for bright-white garments to recieve an upcharge, or linens, or spot removal if there was a stain that required a significant amount of time to remove (assuming the removal was significant)
its acceptable for an average-sized mans dress shirt to cost $2.25, and an average womans button up shirt to cost extra, because the equipment used to finish the mans shirt is too large for an average womans shirt, and so it must be done on different equipment requiring extra time and attention to produce a good final product.
summary: a womans garment should only cost more than a mans if the cut or material is different. if you have 2 virtually identcial pieces, one belonging to a man and another to a woman, and the prices are different, theres something wrong.
