Mine shipped yesterday (3-27-2002) and will be delivered today. Mine changed from SENT TO WHEREHOUSE to COMPLETE at about 8:30 this morning (MST)! Can't wait!!!

I placed my order at 7:45 AM on 3-27-2002 for the $750.00 computer. (The $650.00 one was already sold out by the time I got to the site)

UPDATE:

I just got what was supposed to be a Sony Vaio PCGXG700 Laptop computer and INSTEAD they shipped me a Sony Vaio PCVLX800 DESKTOP SYSTEM!!! My invoice clearly states I ordered the laptop but they shipped a DESKTOP!!! I called and they told me to return it and that they were sorry. Guess what... They are out of the laptops now. Good luck to the rest of you. I was told by the CS at Buy.com that the SKU # listed for the laptop was actually the SKU for the DESKTOP!!! I have a feeling EVERYONE that ordered the $750.00 laptop will be getting a DESKTOP. Too bad, this was the best laptop deal I have ever seen and I really needed a laptop.

I had originally ordered this yesterday at 7:45 AM MST.

To clarify: I ordered the PCGXG700 LAPTOP (Confirmed from buy.com on my email invoice!) and they shipped me a PCVLX800 DESKTOP (Listed on the packing slip, no mention of the LAPTOP that I ORDERED!!!!) Looks like everyone is getting screwed on this one.

I asked if they had a laptop that they could substitute and I was told no!

I have ordered from them several times in the past but this WILL be my last order with them!

Still crossing my fingers tho. The desktop is still a good deal for $650 I think tho....
 
that sucks, buy.com is gonna have some work getting all these desktops back. I guess you can refute the charges, you ordered a laptop and got a desktop, what a pain to have to ship the desktop back though.

they should have you send the desktops back, and ship you out a similar laptop to what you ordered, but I doubt they will.

I was thinking that exact same thing. Although it would have been nice to get a decent laptop to surf the Net anywhere from the house using WiFi. Oh well I probably owe out of the ass for taxes anyhow 🙁

We aren't getting sheot!!!!! I'm pissed. I got a message on my answering machine to call back and verify my address. I thought great, I'm getting it! But when I called her back, the system showed cancelled for pricing error!!!!!!!!!!!!! They even sent me an e-mail (without explanation by the way) saying it was cancelled. Oh well, guess it was too good to be true. She said I could reorder one at the updated price, then before I could answer she siad even those were out of stock. So I told her to kiss my ass and hung up on her.
