He never mentioned being offended, read into it a bit much?

Yeah, like a shitty football team.

j/k! 😛

Dude...he probably passed out at 5pm from all that alcohol. I'm sure they've been celebratin down there.

lulz, i wasn't able to celebrate yesterday unfortunately but it was about the greatest day of the year. tommy gone, OC gone, willy korn era is starting.

i forgot i said i wasn't going to post anymore oh well

Clemson is a GREAT school, great area, and has great football. Thank goodness Bowden is gone. I believe Dabo is going to lead this team to great success over the next 7 weeks.

we still need WF to lose 3 games to get to the ACC championship but... if we win out and win out convincingly (no close games or only semi-close) then maybe we can face a good SEC team in the peach bowl again. win that one and it'll be a good year.

So, who're you guys going to hire? Does Swinney have a chance of sticking if the team improves?

swinney has a good chance but the athletics director says he will go look nationally, but swinney will still be in the list of candidates. top of the list right now is will muschamp from texas or some other guy named lane kiffin (sp?) don't know much about him except that he was at USC and the oakland raiders.

some people even want bill cowher to come coach for us but i don't know if we can afford him.

jim grobe from WF and bobby johnson (clemson alum) from vanderbuilt are also possible candidates.

Grobe is a ridiculously good coach. Nobody gameplans as well as him and his staff, and now that he has some talent, they're very tough. I would take him over Bobby Johnson in a heartbeat, though Johnson has done an admirable job at Vandy as well.

You silly Clemson kids would cut your own throats if it served you individually......no loyalty at all 😉

Gamecocks would never turn on their own kind like that 🙂

Oh, and Quintox....he wasn't "fired", though I doubt he was given much choice. Secondly, that wasn't a purse, it was a TMNT backpack!!

Trust me, we can afford anyone we want. The bigger question is who wants to be our coach and what type of coach would be successful.

I like Dabo as a person. He says the right things. He just needs to prove himself as a HC/OC.

I think the best scenario would be Muschamp coming as our HC and keeping Swinney as the OC. Swinney is considered one of the best recruiters in the nation. That would keep our recruiting class mostly intact and keep our current players here.

if you wanted a good football college and picked Clemson, there is already so much fail going on.

Yeah that is why all the analysts consider Clemson one of the best jobs in the country.

Great Atmosphere
Top of the line Facilities
Great Fans
Tons of talent in the state.
Lots of money to throw around.

So yeah, I don't think you know crap about college football. Even Texas U. fans know that Muschamp very well might leave because it is a good job.

Yeah, unfortunately it's easy to go look at say the last 10 years or so of end of season polls and see that half the time clemson isn't even on the top 25 list and when on they struggle to make it up to the mighty 20 spot.

And you wonder why we fired Tommy Bowden. It has nothing to do this year with talent. We have talent. We were lacking a coach.
