This is some good info, I agree with most of it except how often to change your oil. My Mazda truck can go for a while before the oil turns dirty so I change that less often.

He mentions Mobil 1 as a full synthetic, I thought they recently changed to a synthetic blend?

Not sure, but I'm with him 100%, my car gets nothing less than Mobil 1 oil and filters.
