great AIM addon: AIM+

I'll have to throw in another vote for Trillian...

I tried it a few versions back and I hated it...horrible piece of junk...but some people recently harassed me into trying the latest version (.70) and man...is it ever awesome.

All my MSN and ICQ contacts in one Add free program. It's skinnable if you are into that, and it feels a lot slicker than ICQ did. I only have one or two new AIM people, but I added an AIM account and it's there, they are no different from ICQ contacts except that hte icon next to their name is different.

I could add Yahoo! contacts if I wanted to to

The new version of Trillian is a must have....I'd use it even if I was only using one network. It's just such a nice (ADD FREEE!!!!!!) client.

Before I give up AIM, Trillian must do two things and if it does and I missed it, I'm happy (as long as someone tells me what I missed.) It needs to give me notices for new aol mail. And also check for messages on my POP3 accounts. Did I miss these? Are they planned for the future?

Yes the new Trillian Rules!! it does everything i want and it integrates so much stuff. pretty sweet!! i recommend it to everyone!

only thing missing from trillian is html support in profiles (and editing the profiles... i can never get to the next line.. gotta use html breaks ) and fixing idle timing

This Aim+ seems to be cool but it has a problem with scrolling, or not scrolling for that matter in messages, sometimes it does and sometimes you have to adjust it manually, anyone else have this problem?

I am so loving the new Trillian. I just installed it last night and it's amazing how many more features it has compared to the previous version . And it's FREEWARE! Wow.

(I haven't used it enough to see if it has bugs or features I don't like though.)

Nice, I've got it installed now. I used to use Trillian, but I don't like how it doesn't update to AIM servers.. so I'm back to regular AIM (with this addon, now) and ICQ 2001b with ads removed.

Yet another vote for Trillian! I think it's great. The new version has file transfer support which is the only thing I didn't like about the previous version. There are no ads and you can choise from different skins. I only use Trillian now. There is no other IM programs on my hard drive.
