Great, 40cm (16 inches) of snow tomorrow

I like to drive in snow, love it...but then i've got a very capable B7 A4 quattro 2.0T 6speed, and Grand Cherokee 4x4.

last year i drove home from work (40mi) in 2 feet of snow, was fun times. my front bumper plowed more snow then the NYDOT

took me 3 hours normally took 30 min

EVEN IF you could get around, the rest of the lunatics out there would make it impossible to get anywhere.

Where do you live RichUK?

I'm in Oxford and its snowing lightly. Although it is settling on the ground, I doubt we'll get 16" of snow overnight.

I should know better than to read ATOT during the winter. Nobody cares what the weather is like where you live.

Wow I wish I could just choose to work from home whenever it snows like that lol. I hate having to clear that much snow off the car only to have it blow in my face. It's not that often we get that much in one hit though, it's usually only a few inches per day but we do get occasional dumps. Either way, business as usual.

The worse is the time we got 2 feet in one dump. I literally had to shovel snow off the car LOL.

the county i live in has 3 snow plows, they only plow the state highway and the county highways , none of the county roads get plowed, evar

It's on its way. Also in Oxford and I just walked through about 4 inches 30 minutes ago. Looks like it's just getting started.

Didn't this happen last year as well? I seem to remember the BMW snow storm complaint in England. Maybe the country should buy a few plows if this is becoming a regular thing.
