I'm really waiting for R6: Vegas PC to drop, I have GRAW and I find it to be pretty good. I know the Xbox360 got killer reviews. I've seen people say the PC version sucks next to the 360. What's different about it?
Originally posted by: ggnl Gamespot Has reviews of both versions of the game. I believe both reviews touch on the (supposed) superiority of the Xbox version.
1. Some of the levels are bigger on PC which makes it more tactical (which sounds good to me, haven't played either version)
2. You need a decent spec (as ever), otherwise turn the detail down
3. Multiplayer browser = teh suck
This difference probably has to do with the interface, which is ALWAYS compromised for consoles. Ever heard of Oblivion? That interface PISSES ME OFF! Key to talk, mouse to disengage? It should be toggled, ON-OFF same key.
I enjoyed both versions. They are both quite different and have totally different levels as well. I liked the map/command team stuff MUCH more on the pc than the 360 version as you can command each person on your team individually. Both have different viewpoints so it feels a bit different. The pc one can be absolutely hard as hell on normal difficulty. Personally I liked them both and own them both.
Vegas on the pc is a direct port of the 360 version though unlike GRAW. I already own Vegas on the 360 (and enjoyed it) so I'll skip the pc version. The pc version of Vegas is..um... out there (if you know what I mean) so you should expect reviews from websites and I'm sure mini-reviews and pics from those who pirated it.
oh...Vegas PC is Shader Model 3.0 only ala Splinter Cell: Double Agent so be aware of that!
