I'm actually quite happy. I just don't go on some internet forum and air my dirty laundry and expect everyone to be lovey dovey towards me. In fact, the opinions of an internet forum are meaningless to me. I don't particularly care one way or the other how people feel about me. I don't know them, and have no desire to. If my lens is "jaded" .. it's because i've been on this forum long enough to see the crap you post every few weeks, under your 4 or 5 internet personalities. No hatorade here... just reality.

You were abused as a child weren't you? :p

I am grateful, as I am every year since 1999, that I am still living. I am grateful for the family I have, for my mother who is always there for me, for my father for keeping my head level and for my sister who is my dearest friend and confidant. I am grateful for my friends who take time out of their complicated lives to enjoy a simple evening of board/card gaming every once and a while. I am grateful for a whole slew of things that are not as near and dear to my heart such as modern technology and having a job and whatnot.

The handful of women who agreed to date me, or fuck me.

Thats about all. Most things that happen to me are not very good. The only pleasant memories I have are of the times I took it upon myself and good things happened. Actually, out of all the times I took initiative to make my life better, only a handful of them had positive outcomes.
So I try to focus on those few times and make more of them.
And ignore/forget the majority of time when my life is miserable.

Shens.
I make everyone on this forum miserable. I'd offer a hooker to each virgin but I have yet to win the lottery.

No shens. I think I empathize with all your rants, since ranting is like 90% of what I do. Although, your rants are probably more valid or something. Half the time I'm complaining, it's about how terrible traffic is. Truth be told, I have it quite good, so I shouldn't be complaining at all...but I'll be damned if that'll stop me.

Also, do those hookers come with complimentary blow?

I'm grateful for my family, my mom who provides for me while I'm living under her roof, and my Dad who chips in for school. I'm especially grateful for my mom because of how many things she has done for me my entire life while asking for almost nothing in return.
