Gratitude Log - are you a member?

What are you grateful for?

This year, I am grateful for the health, love, and support of my immediate family and friends. I am grateful to have the freedom and courage to quit my job in order to travel the world. I am grateful to have finally reached a point where I am happy, confident, loving, gentle and excited to be who I am and to have had all the experiences I've had in order to get here. I am grateful to have a kind relationship with my ex and that the joint summary dissolution of marriage went gently, smoothly, and with mutual love and respect. I am blessed to have incredible and inspiring people in my life. I am grateful for each breath of life that I'm granted each day and am excited to continue making the most of each moment.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, everyone.

Grateful for my family and friends being happy, healthy and successful, and for being oh-so close to finishing school.

First and foremost I am grateful for my wife and son. I am also grateful for my sister and brother, even though we live so far apart I love them and miss them. I am grateful that I have a good job and this year has been good for us for the most part. I am grateful that my Mom and her husband are both in good health. I am grateful that I am in good health.

What more could a man want really?

 Nice to see you posting here again MrsBugi. Don't be a stranger.

Having a place to live, food, and disposable income. Also for having a good job filled with (mostly) good people.

I am thankful for continued employment, the small raise I received and a warm dry place to sleep. I should also thank whoever invented SSRI's. They made a world of difference these last few months.

Having the Internet. Because nothing substitutes holidays with the ones you love nowhere as well as 100gb of porn.

Also, everything posted above too.

kinev - Yes, I did. No need to be sorry. It was truly for the best, and I am deeply grateful for the experience.

xanis - Congratulations on almost being finished with school!

JulesMaximus - You are truly blessed and deserving of it. I visit every few months, ATOT has been a major part of my life in many ways. I've been posting for almost a decade now... I may not always be present, but I will almost always assuredly be back. :)

Platypus - Health is so important... I am glad that you are doing better, especially enough so to express yourself via music.

Kadarin & guyver01 - My ex is a wonderful, kind man with a good heart. My marriage was a good one. Just not the best for both of us, and we parted amicably with love and respect with understanding and hope for each other to find our true happiness and inspiration in life. Life is wonderful and I am truly grateful for each day and determined to make the best of it and to contribute positively.

AlienCraft - Congratulations on the small raise, a great feat in this economy where so many hiring/raise freezes are in effect!

Chaotic42 - It's so important to be happy where you work. I'm glad that you are in such a positive and supportive environment!

Time to make Christmas cards with my sisters. Merry Christmas again, everyone.

I'm greatul for the strength to say sober. Not 1 day since November 2 have I had a puff of weed or any opiate. Even when I've been prescribed them for a torn ligament in my back.I told the dr no thanks. I'll deal with it on some ibuprofen

So... what exactly made him decide to leave you?

Was it the lack of financial responsibility? International vacations, $30 lunches, $90 haircuts, while he's $15,000 in debt?

Heller - All my respect, support and encouragement to you. I'm a big supporter of 12-step programs, all the best and continued success to you in your continued journey.

guyver01 - You know little, and the little you do know is colored through your jaded lens. I don't know you and I don't care to. Instead of expending so much energy worrying about a stranger who you don't know from Eve, I suggest you redirect the energy to focusing on yourself and asking yourself what blessing instead of curse you can allow to flow through yourself. Here's hoping you'll experience happiness... what enrages you most in your projection onto others is often what you hate most about yourself. Take a breath, take a break from the hatorade, and smile. If there's anything in life you're grateful for, feel free to share.

Over and out... Happy holidays to all!

I'm actually quite happy. I just don't go on some internet forum and air my dirty laundry and expect everyone to be lovey dovey towards me. In fact, the opinions of an internet forum are meaningless to me. I don't particularly care one way or the other how people feel about me. I don't know them, and have no desire to. If my lens is "jaded" .. it's because i've been on this forum long enough to see the crap you post every few weeks, under your 4 or 5 internet personalities. No hatorade here... just reality.

I'm grateful for my great family, who I live close enough to that I am able to visit them almost weekly. I am grateful for my friends, although I wish I had the opportunity to see my best friends more often. I'm grateful that I was able to get a great job out of school that I really love, and that I work with a pretty great group of people whose company I enjoy.

Today and tomorrow are days that I am pretty emotional about my ex, but it's nice to remember how great our lives really are.
