Why is the operation limited to only sectioning off 90 percent of the stomach?

Is there a medical reason for this...?

It seems like the vitamin-deficiency is DIRECTLY related to the small stomach size...
you don't have enough space to even eat a nice salad:frown:

Also, would it be possible to vary the size of the bypass "poouc"

Not a candidate and hope to never be...

Just a curious fellow who saw it on tv and was left confused after a CRAPPY piece by a health show

When I die, I want to go like my grandfather did, peacefully in his sleep. Not yelling and screaming like all the passengers in him.

Gastric Bypass..........there are several different ways to do this. Roux-en-y actually bypasses the upper part of the stomach and they re route intestines. There is a vertical banded gastroplasty that they leave the stomach alone and put a band around your esophagus which limits food intake. You need to take vitamin shots monthly (B12) with a Roux-en-y and daily chewables with the VBG. Do a search, interesting stuff.
