7900GT, then overclock (and voltmodding if adventurous). But go to the real forum for these things.

Correct me if I'm wrong but if you're getting it for Oblivion I think you'd want the ATI card because it can do AA + HDR at the same time.
 
7900GTKO, volt mod it to 1.5v, get the nvsilencer 5 revision 2, and hack the thing so it will fit on your board (u need to make 2 cuts. Search google).

OC the hell out of it w/ ATItool (the one @ guru3d.com, not the latest version). Now you have something that is really close to, or beyond a 7900GTX minus the extra RAM.

Anyway, just get an X1900XT, they have an open box one at Newegg for $290: X1900XT
