graphics settings in Links 2k problem

Hi guys...
Here's the deal. I was dinkin around with Links and wanted to see what it looked like in 1600x1200, 32bit. It got there just fine and looked awesome!! ok...so i go to change the resolution back to 1280x1024/32... and it wont take!! after about 4 tries, i get it to take 1024x768... but now i cant get it to go back up to 1280x1024.
I've tried changing my desktop resolution to match, tried changing my refresh rate... rebooted... nothing!
I'm running a Elsa GeForce2 Ultra with WHQL 12.41 detonator.

All suggestion welcome.


**** never mind... I called MS and learned how to force re-set the resolution in the registry ****
