Interesting how things have changed in the past few years.

Holy crap, Intel's certainly gone down.
Good to see ATi doing better though, and nVidia seems to continue it's conquest at full strength.

Wonder if Matrox got included in the "Other" group after Q1-2000, seems like it.
Not too good of a sign, though hopefully they can get a track of their own with the help of Parhelia.

Aren't the numbers a bit low? I mean according to that, Intel at it's peak in 2000 was only at around 35% of the market.
AMD, Sun, IBM, and whoever else makes cpus couldn't have a combined 65% could they?

Or is this just for the "graphics" sector of the computing industry? If that's the case then I could see that cause AMD isn't included in the results. I just didn't know cause my German is lacking..
post confusing 😕

Why is Nvidia listed as one of the sources for the data? Seems rather odd that Mercury Research would need help from them.

Heh Misread something, my bad. Nights are too late, mornings are too early and coffee is never enough.

I was thinking cpus at first and then remembered all intel's graphics that they had pushed out(which supposedly wouldn't work with AMD cpus at the time).

Intel's share is almost completely made up of integrated chipsets. Now that they released the 845G and 845GL chipsets I would expect them to start grow in marketshare again. All those P4 systems sold with GF2MX200 cards will now be sold with Intel chipsets instead 🙂

it says workstation, integrated, and laptop

does that include video cards you buy at the store and ones that come in oems? (i.e. not integrated video)
