Right i have a maximus v extream with i7 3.6ghz and im looking for a graphics card to go along with this but am unsure whats would be best to buy specially looking for one thats good with high specs gaming and video .i have a budget of between 200-300
 
Ben, please answer the questions in the second post of this sticky. This will greatly help folks who are trying to get you some advice and cut down on the number of posts required to determine how to balance price/performance.
 
A Radeon HD 7950 3GB Boost would be your best option, nVidia doesn't really have anything competitive right now. The Geforce GTX 670 2GB was their competing card, but since AMD's price cuts the 7950B is almost $100 cheaper AND comes with the game Sleeping Dogs. Here's a Radeon HD 7950 Boost 3GB for $309.99-$20 MIR=$289.99.

If you don't want to spend that much look at either the Geforce GTX 660 Ti 2GB or Radeon HD 7870 2GB, depending on the games you play.
