I've been looking at the last two graphics cards on this web site and would like to know if it is ok for playing some games like (at 1024):

GTR
GTA SA
UT2004
Half Life 2

The new graphics card it will replace a Nvidia FX5200. I do not want to pay much more than £50 or £60 and it must be fanless.

Is this graphics card faster or slower than a TI4400 128mb, and should I buy the 128mb version or the 256mb?

I am rather out of date with the latest and greatest so I need some help, if you need any more information please ask.

You say you want to play UT 2004 and Half-life2? You're not going to be able to play those games very well with the GeForce 6200. You're cripled by a 64-bit memory path and a lousy fill-rate of only 1.2 Gigatexels/second.

I think the better option is a 6600GT or a used Radeon 9700 Pro with 128MB of RAM and then you can play those games at least at 1024x768 at high quality settings with no AA and 16x AF.:)

I would save your $$$ and get a passive 6600GT, I believe they exist.
Anything else is a waste of your money.

Thanks for the replies.

It will be used on an old 1Ghz AMD Athlon with 768Mb of Memory and a 30Gb Hard Drive, this is my test system that I test software before implementing on other more important computers.
I just would like to play the odd computer game now and then. It is not my main computer so I don't need to have blazingly fast graphics, just something that will be better than the FX5200,
which is not too hard. I do have a small budget because I do not play many computer games, so I am not prepared to spend much money on it.

Sorry I did not explain this earlier.
