hi everyone

im having trouble trying to install my graphics card its a sapphire r9 290 tri-x.
it worked fine with my old motherboard. the new board i bought is a gigabyte z97x-gaming 5.. with a new i7 processor.

the installation cd with the gpu doesn't seem to install correctly it comes up with errors . i tried uninstalling the old gpu drivers and i reinstalled windows 7 but still no luck ..

any ideas what im doing wrong ..

thanks

no its i7-4790 k

when i download from amd it says "unable to find a drive for your system.your operating system may not be supported...
it shows three boxs graphics hardware-intel (r) hd graphics 4600 ...processor intel i7
and operating system is blank

because you're running through igpu, connect monitor to the gpu and not the motherboard .
also disable igpu in bios.

Be sure you've connected all the PCI-E power cables, and maybe try re-seating the card into the PCI-E slot. Also, be sure you're motherboard BIOS is up-to-date.

yes get the latest drivers online. Also, what OS are you using? Make sure you are using the right version for your OS and that it is supported, meaning Win7 or later IIRC.
