Graphics Card Problem!!!

I run an Aspire 500W power supply and a Geforce FX 5900XT graphics card. For some reason, whenever I play Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow, I get a message from my nvidia wizard saying that my graphics card isn't getting enough power. It has only done this once before, and I thought that it was a fluke....

Anyone have any clue?

Jacob

Okay,

It ONLY happens when I play Splinter Cell. I can play Raven Shield: Athena Swd. just fine. For some reason, SC: PT is not working...

Also, I made a mistake. It's an Aspire 550W, not 500W

Is there a way to test the power-supply to see if it's actually putting out 550W?
Also, the red switch on the back is marked 115V. I know that it can also be switched to 230V. Should I do this? What will happen?

Thank you,

Jacob

Don't change that switch. That tells the computer how much voltage is going in to the computer. 120v is the standard for all homes in the US. If you change is to 230V you may fry your computer.

Considering you're electrically challenged enough to even consider switching your PSU to the 230V spec, I'd say you need every bit of help you get - including informative posts about proper forum manners, like not bumping your own thread to the top every X minutes.

From your system specs, it sounds like you've got a lot of devices hogging Molex plugs. Try to double up your optical and hard drives and see if you can give the 5900XT a dedicated line as suggested.

How many bumps do you see in my thread? It's true that I don't have 20,000 posts here, but that doesn't mean that I'm electrically challenged. I am a perfectly polite forum user. Check Nick's post and let's talk about manners:

dont bump your thread 27 mins after you start it

Yeah...now that's really polite.

On a lighter note, thank you for your suggestion. I will try doing so.
