My Hightech "Powered By ATI" Radeon 8500 64Mb Card has just died on me. All I get is three beeps from the PC Speaker when the computer starts up. Then, nothing - no OS load.

I am currently using an old faithfull 8Mb ATI All In Wonder which works great - except when I come to load a game - I think it can just about manage 0.004 frames per second!

I need to consider a replacement. My budget is about £100 UK Sterling. Here is my shortlist:

Creative 3D Blaster 4 Ti4200 64MB DDR AGP RP VO
£107.00

Abit Siluro GeForce 4 Ti4200 64MB DDR AGP RP DVI VO
£107.00

Leadtek WinFast GeForce 4 Ti4200-8x 64MB DDR AGP RP DVI VO
£115.00

PNY GeForce 4 Ti4200-8x 128MB DDR AGP RP DVI VO
£121.00

Gigabyte Maya II Radeon 9500 64MB DDR AGP VO DVI
£129.00

What do you think? The Last two on the list are a little out of budget but if it will really make a lot of difference I may be tempted to fork out a little extra.
Out of the Abit and Creative Ti4200 cards which would you recommend.

Cheers

Leadtek G4 Ti4200...but get 128MB and 8X if you plan on upgrading to 8X (if you already haven't). Leadtek always has BADASS heatsinks

Is it worth paying the money for the ATI 9500?

What's the difference between a 64Mb card and 128Mb (apart from 64Mb!). Will it offer higher resolutions or better speed?

reason why I said ati as you have less risk of software woes (your install already has the drivers..) ..if you can get 128mb for £149 I'd go that route but 64mb would be fine(for the rcord...I have a GF4ti4200 128mb 8x and am saying get the Radeon..:p)
