Graphics artifacts with my Radeon 9800 Pro.

So, my brother was playing UT2004 for like three hours, and suddenly the picture became corrupted. I told him to inmediately quit the game, and the Windows desktop was corrupted also. I turned of the system and restarted it, and everything seems ok now. I was wondering of overheating could have caused this.

I'm using Catalyst 4.4.

Sure, sounds exactly like whats happen when you o/c a card.

Hmm... I'm not overclocking the card. Is there any software that'll tell me the vpu's temp?

RMA it, those are overheating symptoms. Do you ever get vpu-recover kicking in?

BS, thats a infinite loop error, just check your c:\windows\minidump folder if u dont believe me. 4.4 and 4.5 cause it a lot with me but 4.3 is fine.

Yes I did, once, after playing several hours of NFS: Underground.

If it happens again, I'll revert o 4.3 and see what happens. Thanks for your help.

Also disable vpu, it causes more problems and crashes than anything else.
