Graphic Tablet Question!!!

There have to be a few anand members out there that use these, what do you like better? Bigger tablet, or smaller ones. I'm looking to buy one and all the pros that I talk to say bigger is better. But I know of a few people that say otherwise. (small tablet, around 6"x8", large 9"x12" and up) What do all you anandtechers prefer? Also, I'm not sure if it matters but I'm looking at the wacom intuos2 series of tablets. Thanks!!!

i hear only good things about the intuos but they are quite expensive. Ive have used the graphire series and have little complaints. bear in mind that I am no graphic designer.

The size all depends on your stroke size and availble desktop space. I draw and paint with a medium stroke and use 9x12 Intuos.

I've had my Graphire2 for a couple months(wanted to try em out before splurging for an Intuos). I had my doubts about its small size (4x5), but its feels very intuative actually. I'm using it mostly with Painter7 (nice!) and it feels pretty natural for traditional techniques even with less feature rich model I'm using. I would imagine if you're used to long sweeping strokes, a larger surface would work better, but small footprint has its benefits as well.

If you could try out a friends unit would be the best as these tablets get pretty pricey.

Also I forgot to mention that if your planning to do air brush simulations with the air brush tool, then you will need a 9x12 or 12x12
