Graphic Designers Check in w/ portfolio

I am in need of graphics designers for the AnandTech Gear store, I can afford 50 to 100 dollars per approved design right now, I am looking for 4 to 8 designs to start with. they amount I will be able to pay may increase as the store is sucessful. please post here.

narzy - just a question... what would they be designing? i dunno, might save you money to just do it yourself i mean, the people who buy the stuff are anandtechers anyways, so you don't really need a good design to attract them

I will try and answer your questions as best I can.


DPI: I am unsure, I will check with the printer as soon as I can, but do what is reasonable to you (I say 800 is fine) if we need to adjust it we will.

n inches x n inches for each item lets start with 3 items, I will handle the ?master? anandtech logo, so don?t worry about that one. Instead of giving you number I am going to give you a load of links from think geek on T-shirts I like. I need a few ?professional? designs aswell for polo?s (embroidered) 6 colors max 1 in high by 3 inches wide (a Team AnandTech logo) and something around 1in x 1 to represent eather TA or AnandTech.

preferred # of colors: umm whats a reasonable number ;P

I can do the work, but what worries me is this line:

I'm worried that you don't really know what you're getting into. There's no way you can print at 800 DPI on a t-shirt, printing on glassy paper is typically only done at 350 dpi.

Also, there's processes for printing on coffee mugs and tshirts and things that are a lot diferent from printing on paper. These things are silkscreened on, you have a liited number of colors, and a different pallette than you use on paper. Actually, I know from experiece that there are very few people on here that have any expierience designing anything to actually be printed. Most people do low-res, RGB, bitmapped (not the .bmp format, but just any image made up of pixels) graphics that do NOT print nicely.

Also, you need to be a bit more specific in what you want people to design. If you want my help, PM me, I have several years expereince as a graphic designer for print.
