Heres the card my housemate has problems with; I have the same setup, however I do not overclock.
9800pro with artic silencer (on for about 9 months)
All of a sudden one evening, icons are now displaying sometimes purple lines and sometimes when movie playback and particular browsing the cursor will go vertical.
Anyone have this before?
This is what we did;
Since the card has been OC'ed I made sure powerstrip had it set to default clock speeds but it isnt recognizing the card now correctly, so we downloaded radLinker to set clocks to default.
Reboot, same issue. Then we took off the silencer, cleaned off thermal paste and added new paste thinner layer this time, neater job. Still same issue again. Corruption does not display in safe mode...
Artifacting in CS:Source...
I am thinking the card is fried...wtf happened though?
Any ideas? Anything would help!
