is this card good, great, or just bad for my rig set up?

That is not a good card. You'll want either a HD 6800 card or a HD 7850.

Nvidia doesn't have good low to mid cards out right now vs the asking price.

Oh, please. There are great cards available from both camps.

From nVidia you should look at the GTX 460 (1GB 256-bit) for around $120-130 or at a higher point the GTX 560 Ti (Zotac model on newegg for $190AR).

From AMD there are the 6850/7770 for around $120, the 6870 for about $150 or the 7850 for $220.

If you tell us which specific games you want to play we can make better suggestions.

i play BF3,Skyrime, Rage, and team fortress and counter strike global

so no go on the 450 correct?

Honestly I tend to forget about the GTX 460 1GB card. Performance wise I think it's at a fair price point.
