I was wondering which graphic cards should I take into consideration for programming/adobe suite programs ? I will be doing alot of programming, 2d programming, graphic, icon creation, visual studio, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated !

If you're using adobe suite you'll need some type of professional card - being a firepro or quadro. That is largely out of the scope of most here, so i'm not sure what to suggest. I do believe that Tomshardware has done comparisons, though.

Keep in mind that only professional cards can support 10 bit color output in adobe suite / OpenGL (which is required for most professionals), consumer cards such as geforce and radeon will do 10 bit/8 bit only in direct3D. Which adobe suite does not use.

The Adobe suite consists of many programs, which ones will you be using? Also what does Visual Studio have to do with Adobe?

AnandThenMan: I will be using programs such as Adobe Photoshop, fireworks, Illustrator and flash. Visual Studio 2012 has nothing to do with Adobe, I just named it just for what I will be using mainly.

Blackened23: I heard about Quadro and Firepro.... but 8/10 bit color is good for me. I was thinking about Quadro or Firepro but too rich for my blood. It's pricey ! I don't work in that profession but I am learning, experimenting with Adobe so that maybe in the future will use it professionally like in a job. :) For now I was thinking about Nvidia because it utilized CUDA cores which help Adobe programs rather than AMD cards.

What version of the Adobe Creative Suite are you using? If its older go with an Nvidia card, the newest one was designed to work with OpenCL and should work fine with an AMD Radeon card.
