it low end pc cheapest that money can buy.
i think cpu is athlon 250
mb is something from asrock
2 gigs ddr3 1333 or something
hd is so small practically there is not in there 80 gigs pata disk maxtor i think (lol)
gc is palit 8400 gs 512 ddr3 64 bit

Cheapest of everything... Does that include a cheap no good psu? If yes, you'd really want a low power card. 7750/7770 is probably the best bet then otherwise you'd have to budget a replacement power supply too.

Get her on here after editing and I will tell her that she needs to stop being so stubborn from the safety of behind my monitor. Please make sure she does not track my IP address.

7750 is the best non-external power card(just pci-e slot) you can buy at this point. Geforce doesn't have anything close.

Ok, I'm going to just say it: get her a new computer.

If she's a serious gamer, she'll love you for building something that can actually handle the games she wants to enjoy.

And even if she's a casual gamer, she'll still love you for caring enough to take the time to do something thoughtful like that for her.

I agree. I would be pretty sure that that comp will have a 300W or lower generic PSU.
It also probably does not have an external power connector. So the 7750 would be the max that you could use, and the power supply might be marginal for that. But honestly, the 7750 seems like a pretty good match for that CPU. I play Skyrim (since the patch) at mostly high settings with an E4500 and a 9800GT, so with a 7750 and a newer cpu, you should be good to go at moderate resolutions. Edit: I play at 1440x900, high settings except for lowered AA.
