Graphic Aperature size?

what is it? what does it do? I friend told me that setting it lower will produce better results on 3d2001 but I'm not sure, I haven't been getting any better scores. I have a GeForce 4 Ti4600. thanks for your help

should I set it to 128? does it represent the amount of memory that I have on the 3D card? can anyone tell me a little bit more than just that? Thanks
