Well I would've said he did it correctly, but I only heard, "You're gonna be tased. Stop." once, to which she said "I'm getting back in my car" . Didn't some people say he did it five times?

Another video

Yeah, it's a good thing they released that video to the public, because that just showed her hypocrisy, uncooperativeness, the cop warning her on several occasions and did what he could by the book, she even pulled back when he tried to handcuff her so that's resisting right there.

Physical force on that woman would've been a bad decision given her age and where this was happening. I wouldn't want to struggle right next to a highway when something is safer and would stop someone in their tracks is one of my options.

OP's link = UNedited my ass.

Damn he should have shot her instead, that would make him a real man, tasering is lightweights.

/fucking pig

Did you even watch the video???

Yes a couple of times, that little man needs some retraining as he surely can't handle a situation with a grandmother half his size who is definitly not a threat.

Tasing was justified and LESS harmful than manhandling her.

I think it's a tough call. Like you said, her bones are 72 years old. When he tased her, she could have broken her hip falling to the ground.

Or heart attack...

Yes, I forgot to mention that. That would be the more likely outcome IMO.

EDIT: Time warp!

Or she could have been hit by traffic as she got out of the car. Sorry, her fault. Cop did the right thing.

He could have just grabbed her and handcuffed her. Cops should only tase when it is the only way. Seriously do your job and restrain her. Tasers aren't replacements for doing your job. That said she is dumb and deserves what she gets anyway.

Alright jack-boot lickers. Here's a real police officer:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFsnaCtt1bo

Oh my GOD, the guy was CRAZY and even acting THREATENING, HE SHOULD BE TAZED, right?! Fuckin A, you people are ridiculous. You guys back up incompetence and brutality all the time, and it's sickening. I say we take tazers away from police, completely. Maybe teach them some goddamn patience and negotiation skills, again. I shouldn't really expect this though, from the most arrogant and violent country and people on the face of the planet.

How is what that guy did and the grandma even close to the same thing? I think you're a little confused. The grandma resisted arrest and tried to flee or even tried to go back to her car to get a weapon. Who knows. The guy in your video was crazy but did nothing threatening and wasn't even close to the grandma but hey, your obvious bias is easily shown.

Tasers are a better way to go than attempting to restrain someone who doesn't want to be restrained. This is how officers are taught. You do everything you can to avoid a physical confrontation.
