Grandfather's ghost auctioned on Ebay

It's not the same auction. From the link:

In a description titled "This isn't a joke," Anderson told Collin's story on eBay:

"I always thought it was just normal kid fears until a few months ago he told me why he was so scared. He told me 'Grandpa died here, and he was mean. His ghost is still around here!"'

Lest the boy's fears scare off potential bidders, Anderson added, "My dad was the sweetest most caring man you'd ever meet."

That's not in the auction anywhere.

"The bidding is due to close Monday afternoon."

Bidding Ends Dec-11-04 16:02:54 PST - which is a Saturday

Doh! I just caught that. That was the only ghost auction I saw on Ebay, so I naturally assumed that was it. However, I guess I'm wrong. I can't find the original auction anywhere. Maybe Ebay pulled it off.

The real auction lady actually turned down a monetary donation.

Q: Do you have a paypal address where you can take donations? My cats aren't overly fond of ghosts, so I do not think your son's Grandpa would like it here. I would still like to help with "Grandpa's Gift" to your son though.

A: I appreciate the gesture but he's not out for the money on this, To be honest we thought we'd be lucky to just get one bid. We all just want him to feel safe here in Grandpas old house since we aren't moving. It was sweet of you to offer though, Thank you! 🙂

I'm not paying a penny for a ghost.

Now if the ghost did some house chores, then I'd probably bid on it.

This sort of thing is quite a common event in the Old Bell. Guests that booked in for the night would find their clothes neatly folded at the bottom of their bed, and thinking that someone had been in their room when they were asleep, would complain to the landlord only to be told that the staff were a lazy lot, and if any body was in their room in the dead of night they were was supernatural.
