Wimbledon joins the United States and Australia in paying equal money across the board, from the champions down to the first-round losers in all events.

The men in these tournaments should go on strike over unfair pay, and request that they only play 3 sets instead of 5. It's never going to happen, but it should.

I think the Williams sisters should play in the mens' tournament, not the womens.

this is stupid. Granted at wimbledon the on court time difference is not as great but the men get paid less per hour. They get paid far less per hour on court time at all other non grass events.

then they should get rid of the mens/womens thing and just make it one pool for everyone...that should solve this whole equality thing pretty quick....

Yea. To clarify, they're just equalizing pay between mens and womens.

Tennis is one of the few sports where i'm just as entertained watching the women play as the men.

Tennis isn't golf, basketball or any other sport. In tennis the ratings for the women are BETTER than the ratings for the men. Nobody watches Federer stomp Roddick, they watch Sharapova.
