I'm going to a show at the Granada and I drove by to check it out and I see no parking at all aside from a handful of spots on the street. Anyone here been to a show there and had to deal with parking? Where did you park and how much was it? In reading some reviews of the venue I've seen mention of $8/$10/$25 parking but I'm not sure what or where this parking is.

Aside from parking what was your experience like at the Granada?

Yeah, that was a thought but a couple of reviews basically said they are militant about resident parking and towing in the area.

mass transit?

I used DART quite often when I lived in DFW.

the mockingbird station is 8 blocks away.

looks like there's a good sized lot directly behind the theater...

just park in the street in front of someone's house. You'll probably have to walk a few blocks.

Yea dont park in front of someone's house. That area is pretty bad about people doing that. So homeowners are pretty good about catching it.

There are usually areas where you can park such as businesses that are closed for the evening. Last time I went down there was to Barcadia and we parked in this parking lot next to another bar. I'd head that way earlier in the evening and find a place to park, may require a little walking though.

If DART works then it works, if he is going out with a lady for the evening, I very much doubt he would like making her walk 8 blocks possibly in heels :-\

I usually eat at snuffers and catch the show afterwards. If not I have a buddy in the area and park at his place.

Just look for a spot like Snuffers or somewhere on Greenville and walk. Parking in the M-Streets isn't as bad as some people make it out to be, but you should look for houses completely dark. (Also lookout for neighbors, they'll call you in for their neighbors)
