I have plenty of cash and fast cars ( M3, Clieon (1024BHP)) but none of my cars can turn for sh*t, they all oversteer like mad !

What is the best handling car in GT4 ?

How can I improve my cars performance

win the formula turismo or the toyota or nissan "race" cars... i have all 3 and they are the best for full out performance

also don't forget to use the downforce on the cars, helps handling A LOT.

Increase the down force ?

I bougth a SLR today and was horrifield with the turning, it just goes on strike !

How can i imrpove braking, I never bothered with that variable, just the sports brakes. Any other ways I can help the cars steer better ?

You should google the Chaparrl 2J and read about it. Basically, it was a revolutionary design that used vaccum suction to hold the car down to the track, yielding cornering speeds that were unheardof at the time and still unmatched.

Stick w/ the slow cars first. Learn to corner w/ them, then gradually move up to higher performance cars. If you go straight to the top, you'll just end up shooting out of the corners all the time. Super sticky tires help, but unless you're really good at drifting, slam on the breaks at the super tight turns.

The formula car would have the best, then various race cars.

For cars that aren't race cars, then you need to buy spoilers, better tires, and the full racing suspension (and tweak it properly) to get the best handling from them.

yea the downforce helps a lot, also buy the brake controller to help improve ur braking dramatically. you WILL stop faster when u learn to use the brake controller

Sweet, I just didnt know how to use it so I never bothered but I will now. Also, should I mess with the suspension at all ? My cars all tend to understeer ( Cien, M3, Vanquish)

well obviously lowering your cal will help it out a lot but dont just drop it all the way. if u want, make your springs harder or ur shocks. the only thing to tell you is to mess with them until you like them. everyone likes to drive their cars their own way

Sweet I'll go off and have a play, my cien has 1024 BHP, but it cant turn for sh*t so im kinda stuck at the moment.

Yes, adjusting the suspension will have as great of affect as the other parts.

If its on a paved track then you want pretty high spring rates (about 75% of the maximum for the front and 70% for the rear). Set the shock bound to 3 or 4 for both, and the shock rebound to 10. I used to know what to set the rest of the settings, but I have since forgotten, and haven't tinkered with them enough in this game to figure them out again. Oh, and lowering the ride height helps, but sometimes going too low will make the car harder to turn.

For the braking controller, if you want stability when you brake hard (in other words no fishtailing, or the back end becoming loose) then set the front to be a lot higher than the rear. If you want to get more of a slide (kinda like drifting) then set the rear to be higher. I usually set the front to be about 24 and the rear to be about 10. Keep in mind that raising these will cause more wear on your tires, and so you might want to lower them for endurance races or things like that.

Downforce, typically the more the better, but you don't want the front or back to have a significantly higher amount than the other (as it'll cause instability). Also keep in mind, the handling ability at higher speeds will be much different than at lower speeds because the downforce will only really come into play much at the higher speeds. Also, the more downforce, the worse your top speed or acceleration at higher speeds will be. Oh, and it'll cause more wear on your tires as well.

If you load your car with horsepower its very hard to overcome its tendency to oversteer and generally not handle that well. No matter what you do, it will still handle much worse than it will with less horsepower.
