well, compusa has Gran Turismo 4 for 37.99, 25% off the original price, all this week. if thats hot at all...

btw, this is my first ever "hot deal "thread. sorry if it isnt hot.

those bastards told me that they are out of stock,
I did check it online just to be sure if they have it in stock before going to the store.
I'll drop by again for the nightshift.

Thanks for the awesome find. I grabbed the last one from Kearney Mesa Compusa in San Diego, and I was there five min after they opened! They said they only had 3 to begin with. Knowing that a lot of people are going to show up for the great deal you would think they would start the deal with plenty in stock. Not cool in my opinion. :|

What'd you expect? Figured they would do something or stand to lose A LOT of money.

didn't some store get sued for doing stuff like that? advertising a product, but only having a ridiculously minimal stock.

What's the point of having the deal if you're only going to carry 3?

What's the point of advertising a car for $2k below MSRP and only having one at that price?

To get customers in the store!!

Sheesh:roll:

I don't think this is the same. If you're shopping for a car, and don't get one with all the specifications you'll compromise and get a different color for example. If I go to crapusa to buy gran turismo 4 and don't find it in stock, i'll leave pissed off rather than go, oh well let me buy an overpriced computer now. Also, the car ads will say "one at this price" Or store specials often say "limited stock". These are usually electronics/computers. Never seen this done for a ps2 game. Just me 2 cents. I'm sure people will disagree.

Typically when a car dealer has an ad like that, they are advertising a single car (look closely on the ad to find the VIN or some type of disclaimer). CrapUSA OTH is advertising a product that they typically have several copies of per store -- if they have hide inventory, then they could be sued for false advertising. ...Proving they didn't have enough copies at opening on Sunday morning would be difficult.
