Are there special names for the linking verb "is" in the following two sentences?

Bob[subject] is[?] large[predicate adjective].
Bob[subject] is[?] the president[predicate noun].

EDIT: I thought that a form of the verb "to be" has a special name depending on if it is followed by a predicate adjective or a predicate noun.
