Grammar question

So I was reading the article about Ann Coulter's comments, and it said she made an "anti-gay slur." Would there be a difference between a gay slur and an anti-gay slur? Wouldn't an anti-gay slur be a slur against people who are against gays?

Edit: After reading more definitions about the the word slur I guess it could be either. I guess I was thinking of the term 'racial slur' and never heard someone call it an anti-racial slur.

"I was going to have a few comments on the other Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards, but it turns out you have to go into rehab if you use the word 'lovely human,' so I ? so kind of an impasse, can't really talk about Edwards," Coulter said Friday at the gathering in Washington, D.C.

But that's got to be one of her worst. Guess she just enjoys walking around with that corn cob stuck waaaay up her butt. And to think, some Republicans actually defend her.

i'm not a Coulter sympathizer, because i know she likes to be outrageous so this is her style. using the word lovely human was actually done as a joke. she was mocking that someone on some television show had to go to "rehab" for saying lovely human, and she also threw John Edwards into the mix to pick on him.

was it the right thing to do? probably not, but her book sales and speaking fees just went up again thanks to the media and liberals making a big deal out of her uttering the word.

something else that was pointed out to me is Bill Maher just recently said about the close call VP Cheney had with a Taliban bomb that he wished it would have killed him. how come there is no big deal being made about that? is publicly saying the word lovely human worse than publicly wishing the VP of the United States dead?

Man, i hate that woman. even if i agreed with her on things, i wouldn't listen to her. she is such an attention whore and will do anything to shock people. i couldn't respect someone that reads her books or watches her on tv, regardless of their views. there are so many other people with intelligent things to say; she's just an uninteresting, unfunny, unintelligent howard stern.
