If you write something like,

"..... improve ATOT and GMAIL 1.0 and GMAIL 2.0"

I know that's not right and I feel like an idiot for sending the email so soon without proofreading. People probably think I'm an idiot.

It should be "..... improve ATOT, GMAIL 1.0 and GMAIL 2.0" right?

How does one feel as an email?

Use either:

"..... improve ATOT, GMAIL 1.0, and GMAIL 2.0"

or

"..... improve ATOT and GMAIL 1.0 and 2.0"

The serial comma is optional in my first example depending on how you use it elsewhere in the document.

You can do what you want unless it's extremely formal, and they told you to write like a poet. Both are grammatically correct, one just flows better.

Nobody will think you're an idiot.

Either above works grammatically, but good writing is also a matter of elegance, of style.

To that end, I would phrase it thusly:

"... improve ATOT as well as GMAIL 1.0 and 2.0."

<shrug>
