Here in CA, when full legalization of weed first came to ballot, I think around 2011, it was the growers who opposed it. They put flyers out at the dispenaries, then only for "medicinal." Some dispensary owners agreed and would put their literature out. The guy at one dispensary told me that basically all the growers think it would be a financial disaster for them because the price per pound will go way down.

So what you're saying I know to be true based on personal experience. The ones who benefit most from continuation of any sort of prohibition are always those currently manufacturing and selling the prohibitted goods.

Look at what we have now in California. You have a black market for untaxed drugs that is THRIVING there because they are able to use the cover of legality to work in the shadows, supply the legal shops and spread their poison all over America.
