So my brother is graduating and I want to get him an mp3 player. Nothing too fancy under 150... you guys have any ideas?

Creative makes some pretty good flash based players under 150. I'd just get like a zen xtra or something. I've seen them new for 180.
 
People get gifts for gratuations.....of any sort? It used to be expected that you would graduate and your gift would be your future.

I see it more as a way for people to show you that they're proud of you. And it's nice to be recognized for all the hard work you've done.

But I, too, think our culture places too much emphasis on reward and "feeling good." But my problem is more with mandating "feeling good" and "sensitivity". This is an optional thing that some people choose to do.
 
I promised my brother an AK-47 or equivalent funds towards another gun of his choice.

Last I heard he was thinking about a Glock.

I have to bribe him to motivate him.

Bought him a GBA when he needed heart surgery & was going to opt for medication (parents gave him the choice), the AK actually gave him some motivation to do his damn homework.
