Graduation gift ideas?

So I graduated from college earlier this month and this past week, my mom has been asking me what I want for graduation. Problem is, there's not really anything I need right now. I've got 2 desktops and a laptop (current enough so I don't really need to upgrade anything in them), a camera, plenty of videogames to play. I'm having hard time thinking of anything to tell her that I want. She won't take no for an answer so I need to come up with something, but I have no ideas. I'd kind of like to have an Xbox, but like I said, I've got plenty of games so I don't really need that. All I've come up with is some sort of home theater in a box but even then, my TV isn't that great so it'd be kind of wasted at this point.

So tell me ATOT, what should I tell my parents I want? We're not talking about a lot of money, $300 at the most, I think, is what they'd spend. I can't get a straight answer on how much money we're talking about.

The best option may be to wait until I get my own place as soon as I find a job and see what sorts of things I need.

Ideas? Thanks.

I've considered that, but my mom would have none of that. She'd say "I love you, too. Now what do you want?" :p

Pretty much got all that covered, too. My aunt's the one with connections and she's helping me there and I've got enough clothes. I'll need more once I do get a job so that's a possibility, too.

You'll need new clothes for your upcoming new job. You'll also need kitchen and bedroom stuff to furnish that new apartment you'll be moving into shortly after your parents give you your walking papers. Just a couple ideas for you!

Why not ask her to plan a day of activities that you can do together?Go out for some light shopping,go to the movies, catch some dinner.Spend some time together, soon you'll be living on your own ,working fulltime, have one last, relaxed carefree day together:)

Not a bad idea. Whatever I end up deciding, it will be from both my mom and my dad (my mom just happens to be the one asking about it) and he doesn't enjoy that sort of thing at all :)

I don't think I have much use for an Ipod. Unless I end up at a job where I'll be able to just sit there and listen to music while I do my work, in which case, an Ipod might not be a bad idea at all.

Thanks for all the ideas.

Get something to mark this IMPORTANT milestone in your life. Don't get a toy.

Some ideas:

A round trip ticket to Europe and a backpack (if you have the time)
A nice watch
Your diploma framed nicely
A suit

Right. That's sort of what I was thinking, as well. I don't know that I want a toy of any sort. I want it to be something that will last. As nice as it would be, I think a trip to Europe is probably more money than we're talking about. I've got a nice suit and a nice enough, I think, watch. I'll be getting my diploma framed for sure, so that's a possibility.
