Graduation ceremonies are boring.

Just came back from my sisters high school graduation ceremony. A boring 3 hours.

I am about to graduate.

I have to sit through two 3 hour graduations, plus the practice times:disgust:. THis is because I am in IHS (a kinda school within a school), and they have their own graduation. And then there is the general school one.

Yea, they are pretty boring. The worst one I have ever been to was my friends graduation from UCSB. They had the WORST speaker in the history of the world. This dude was more interested in giving the technical specs for some new way to harness solar energy that his company came up with, then giving the graduates any advice. What a bore fest. The students started getting real restless about halfway through his speech.

i went to my siters tonight too, started at 8:30 and went until 10:30, i had been before (for my bro in 98), but my sister was one of the first 10 people (top 5%) and my mom wouldnt let us leave early

I remember our classes' Valedictory speech.....all she did was thank all her friends and family and comment on how awesome they were to her. Needless to say, she was pretty stuck up and arrogant...

we had our graduation, right after that all the seniors had a party on campus (school organized) it was a blast lotta free stuff

At my University Commencement is like a 5 hour deal... Pack a lunch-

Mine was actually pretty memorable, It was on Jun 6 1977, at Oregon State U. It was simultanous with the Portland Trailblazer NBA Championship game. Radios were tuned in to the game all over the auditorium. The Blazers won right in the middle of the Presidents speech. He had to stop his speech while the whole crowd cheered the victory. I don't remember a work of the speech but Blazers winning the championship made the day!

My graduation kinda sucked because a few of my good friends were valedictorians and salutatorians, but we sat behind them on a stage, and the speakers were facing towards the audience, and we COULDN'T HEAR A THING sitting on stage. Bah.

The best part was the post graduation party that's getting pretty common these days, with unlimited junk food (mmm, Dominoes, chick-fil-a nuggets, dunkin donuts, einstein's, etc) and decent prizes and music, and even stuff like human fooz ball and gladiator jousting...I wish I was graduating again instead of being in college!!

I didn't go to my college graduation. I graduated in the middle of the year and the ceremony wasn't until june. No way i'm going back for just that.

You think that sucks. Try having a last name that's at the end of your class. I was almost last to get my diploma. Talk about boring...
