First, <a target=new class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.airmileoffers.com/miles318.html">Get 3000 bonus united airline miles just for enrolling the free mileage program</a>

if you are a student, you can <a target=new class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.airmileoffers.com/miles95.html">get 10000 united bonus miles upon graduation</a>..

also, if you apply the mileage plus credit card, you get 15000 bonus miles, (for an annual fee of $60

you need 25000 miles to get a coast-to-coast US/Canada roundtrip tkt! The value of this ticket is at least $375.

Theres a student version of the credit card with no annual fee. I got that, and then I graduated (got the bonus) and they moved me out of the student version and charged me the $60. I called and complained, and they got rid of the fee as most annual fee based card companies will do.

The no-annual fee card earn 1 mile per 2 dollar spent. The card with $60 annual fee earns 1 mile per 1 dollar spent.
The current 15000 bonus mile for signing up the mileage plus visa card is a great deal. 15000 + 10000 graduation bonus is 25000 and that's already a free roundtrip ticket. Miles don't expire as long as you have some account activity in 3 consecutive years. You redeem the miles for an award ticket whenever you want. One good thing about award ticket is they are refundable (with a fee).
