Grado Reviews here . . .

and here.
This is an "audiophile" type headphone that works well with portables. Most other recognized "audiophile" headphones require a separate amp (or there is no Bass or even adequate volume . . . )
I have never seen audiophiles wax so eloquently about a $70 headphone (it's even better cause it's only $59.99 shipped).
Now some people will chose Cerwin Vega over Magneplanar because they like the apparant bass of the Vegas - but the Magneplanar are the recognized "audiophile' accurate speaker (for example). Some people even like Koss (or Bose). 😉 🙂
Speakers and headphones are very subjective. Fortunately, if you do order these, you get 7 days to return them . . . (15% restocking fee may apply).
EDIT: DON'T GET ME WRONG . . . there ARE better headphones. Grado makes better headphones. But this is one you can stick on your Walkman or MP3 player to get a GREAT sound without worrying that you had to max out your credit card to get. It is a bang-for-buck headphone. If you're not sure, try and audition them at a high-end stereo store. BTW, Grado makes an awesome LP stereo cartridge for the price too.
