is it the higher the carat the purer the metal or the other way round? i've been told alot of times but i always forget this one 😕 and i assume this applies for all metals?

so what would practically be the best carat to buy? because i know they mix some other metals with gold to make them more durable etc...?
 
Isn't 24K = 999.9 = 99.99% pure?

999.9 jewllery is very common in many Asian contries in fact it's harder to find 18K or anything below that in Asia.

Yes it deforms easier (actually not too bad if you take care of it) and IMHO they look much better than any other mixes of gold.
