Grab a Pentium D 805+mobo+fan for $260, or a conroe E6600 for $316+ and mobo unknown?

It's a lot of money for me right now, and if I get a conroe I really want the one with a 4 MB cache.

Opinions? Thoughts?

get the gigabyte es3 mobo and the e6400 instead and oc 🙂 I have the 805 and an abit aw8 max nd it is oc but not even close to a conroe 🙂

An E6300 at stock speed will stomp an overclocked 805, if that makes any difference to you.

No matter what you do, do not get an 805 under any circumstance.
