wow tahts a great deal considering you get vista and all the rest of the stuff. the board supports core 2 duos too.

I bought this a couple weeks ago for a friend from frys for the same price. Upgraded it to 2gb and got a 7900gs to go with it. I think the pci-express slot is like a pci-lite or something and only works at 4x or something. I really didn't look into it much but he is using it for WoW and the internet and it's working fine. I believe it gets a 4.1 or so in vista basic for the cpu score.

yeah its an x4 slot.

the 945gz chipset doesnt have the normal x16 slot so ecs took the 4 x1 slots off the southbridge and turned them into that one physical x16 slot.

its probably not that big a speed decrease (i hvae a foxconn 945gz and it probably would only matter if you had say a 8800gts

It is a 945 GC not GZ. Sorry my bad, It will support C2Ds

It says in the manual for the motherboard ECS 945GZT-M
? Supports DDR2 533/400 DDR SDRAM with Dual-channel architecture
? Accommodates two unbuffered DIMMs
? Up to 1 GB per DIMM with maximum memory size up to 2 GB
Memory

But if I got some (DDR2-667) like this would it run it, just at the 533 speed?
