which of these gpu is the best?

i want it to be futureproof but i dont play ultra settings. i am PERFECTLY fine with normal settings on bf3 with 35-40 fps. i also want to overclock them if i need to later.

so, i can get

7850 , 7870 , r9 270

theyre all good for the performance, but i just need to know how they compete against each other.

i heard the 7850 is really similar to the r9 270 and 7870 in performance, but is it futureproof? id say the r9 270 is the most futurerpoof cuz its the most recent and i heard it has really good overclocking. i guess the 7870 would be in the middle of these two cards. what dyu guys think?

Seems you have it figured out and guess you're looking for a $200 gaming card. You could pick up a GTX 760 on sale for approx $250.

I'm neither AMD nor nVidia but just working in that price range.

Get whichever is the cheaper one out of the 7870 or the R9 270. 7850 < R9 270 < 7870 < R9 270X. The only differences between the 270, the 7870, and the 270X are clock speeds and the fact that the 270 lacks one of the power connectors which may limit overclocking and make the 7870 or 270X the better choice.

You have an odd definition of the word "range"...

At stock settings 7870>270 (non-x I assume)>7850.

However, if the prices are all the same, I would say 270 is the best option. It runs cool, quiet, uses less power than the 7870, and easily overclocks to 270X speeds.

7850 is fairly far behind both cards in terms of performance, so unless you can purchase it for $30-50 less than the 7870/270, it should not be worth considering.
