GPU Temps

What is a good temp to have your GPU at? If anyone knows or might have LCD readings on theres please post it..

This article discusses the cooling of the Gainward GeforceFX 5200.

While the GeForceFX GPU runs hot, Gainward's passive cooling system works fairly well at keeping the GPU well under the 100C level. If you're just sitting at the desktop doing basic work and web browsing, the card will run absolutely silent with zero noise. If you fire up a game which taxes the GPU, it will still run in silent mode. Even when we had a GPU intensive game up and running, it took roughly 8-10 minutes for the card to reach the 100C level. When the GPU hits 100C, the fan will kick in (which really isn't loud at all either), and keep running until the GPU reaches a "cooler" temperature of 80C. Taking the GPU from 100C to 80C takes roughly three minutes, most people won't even realize the fan is running.

Well actuall I have the ti4200 i just got a LCD thermal display so I was wondering what area it should be in im at 85.8 F right now just wondering where that was on the scale..

Wow, that's great even for a cpu - you should have no gpu problems at that temp.
I really don't know what a good nominal temp is, that article's the only specific mention of gpu temp I've encountered...
