Hey,I have been planning my build for a long time, researching everything, perks of liquid cooling I have concluded that liquid cooling your GPU gives no benefit almost null overclocking and yeah I have
Proof to back up my conclusion
1st-
These pics are from hard ocp.com
What better card to compare than the King of the hill GTX 980Ti
They have the best air cooler and hybrid cooling respectively from the same OEM
No extra FPS.
2. This video from Joker productions-
https://youtu.be/IXLxZWLmJfo
See for yourself
3. From JayzTwoCentz-
https://youtu.be/-Z0mE9avtnY
He uses a 240 RAD with a CPU and GPU
Removes the stock GPU air cooler and gets the same results as with GPU with its original air cooler no more over clocking even with custom water loop.
In all the three above scenarios liquid cooling good get insanely lower temps granted ,agreed!!!
But what did you get from
1. paying for a GPU block
2. Voiding warranty
3. Risk of installing a GPU block
Only one thing!!!
AESTHETICS
Why do only some OEMS produce liquid cooled graphics card??
Why are there so many AIO coolers dedicated to CPU cooling and even Intel
has produced a dedicated AIO??
Because you can get performance out of liquid cooling thanks to overclocking a CPU!!
Liquid cooling is extremely effective granted but lower temps on a GPU don't give any extra performance
It is obviously for the aesthetics and bragging rights it is not at all practical!!
I hope to have a constructive discussion
Thanks
